Snow Fun

Postby Bonnie Meadowes » Tue Dec 19, 2006 10:07 pm

Adam, my Loves youngest of five births
just came over with his new 2000 XR 250 kitted bike
we headed out from headwaters of Hunter Creek
got a byte of snow and ice all day

traction did nothing to sneeze at
bin did his best impression of face plant
three times
i am sure one will still be there next summer in a clay bank somewhere on 220

yeah baby these were slick sick stuff
but we be wrighting about it so must be home ~ yah all think !

ICe had been refrozen SO traction was iffy

the four wheelers had been in as far as they could
slidin all overt the place
refrozzen ~ stay away
rideing the edges
breakin ice in puddles

the first tire print upon virgin snow

it never gets better than that

and several time i stopped and asked Adam
dare we go further? in this snow and ice ?

well to be truthfull i did not really ask until we were really in the thick of it ~~~
and going down something i was not sure we could get back up
under the cercanstances

we were better off than those ditto headZ on top of Mt Hood

we had seen a few Cambodians milling around a few miles back ~~??~~

This was a first for me
Virgin Snow (know dust at all !!!)
but everything was "different"

to cut the first line of insanity over the pass was great
at one place we cut back and I could barely
make out our track
it was pretty obsquere
to say the most

got barley malt by the warm fire now
bin down those same trails with out snow cover
bad enought when you can see it

it was an awesome day

but two new trailer tires, mounted and spin balenced
new hub studs and nuts

ferkin zerkin the wirld
if they cant larf about these daze
this house is shudderin with rockin tunes from Art in much colder west tahoe...

if MRA spy in the house
come hither, lets ride
these thangs 2 shall pass
