7/14/17 Mare's Eggs Ride!

"What the heck are Mare's Eggs?" you ask?
They are only one of two places in the world where they exist!

There IS a concern in getting there though, and the mosquitoes are ferocious! We found them today and had to risk swampy conditions to get to them, but there they were! The last time I saw them was over 30 years ago. No more sign describing how rare they are or anything. They are still cool though.
A rare anomaly in Southern Oregon!
Also saw a shrine to "Shelly" on Butte Falls Highway:
