Dan, We left from Lyons, up the Trask Rd to High Rock, then cut south to Quartzville and then on to Detroit dam, from there we went into Detroit for gas etc. We tried to get over French Glen and down the Elkhorn, but we got a little turned around (also know as LOST) :) actually we weren't lost, just...

The older Kawai saddle bags are much deeper and larger than the new design. If you can scare up a set of them you'll be much happier in my opinion. I too have the Kawi tail bag and it's pretty good for what I need. I personally don't like the Kawi tank bag. Its small and always ends up lopsided (tli...

Re Magazine
Once again, you did a great job with the magazine folk's. I really enjoyed the Johnson Valley article, great pix Walt .. I don't see much dust in the photo's, ya musta been going slow over those mini mountain rocks :-) I would have enjoyed Gunny's article too, if he had left the price for the auto-c...

Hey Neil, Like Milo said, "great post" ... but woudn't it be better for us as riders to show up and give Tom and his crew the support they rightly deserve. I can truely understand your frustrations at the USFS and I agree with you whole heartidly. I hope that someone from the USFS is actually at the...

Tom, You've probably already thought of this, but just in case you haven't. There's also the economical factor to take into account. I'm sure there are some places that look forward to the thousands of dollars spent in the area due to your event. From Mt Hood Meadows to the local hotels. Gas staions...

Along the same lines as what Vernon asked. If all they are showing is a trail with tire tracks, then who's to say who did it ? ... or when for that matter ... or what forest the trail was in even. Blamming your event for every bike that enters the Mt Hood National forest is a far stretch. Funny how ...

Hi Boyd, I also ride the moderate or B course's at most events and have never had a problem hooking up with someone to ride with. I'll be in Hemlock Meadows space #10 at the BD. This year there's gonna be a few too many for a comfortable group of 3 to 4 riders max, so we will probably have to break ...
