10/13/18 Tawm's GAG Ride In Eastern Oregon

Postby Tawmass » Mon Oct 22, 2018 9:53 am

My Great Annual Gifford (GAG*) Ride was again in a special location in Eastern Oregon and a good time was had by all! This year had around 15 riders from as far away as LaGrande, Winnemucca and Tillamook! Our typical rule of thumb is: ride hard and play hard at night! We did exactly that.

We normally have a local (ScottM) to show us the good trails, but he was not able to attend this year, so StanS filled in, and he did a great job! As the video below shows, we [or at least the group I was in] did miles and miles of extremely tight trails. In fact it took us a large part of the day just to finish! Good stuff and the Day1 Video can me seen here:

There were multiple groups of riders for various skill levels. Pictures from everyone are here:

2005 and earlier? Methinks this was around the time I went from film to digital!

*Why is it titled 'GAG' when it's not in the Gifford-Pinchot N.F.? Because I staged it at the GP for over a dozen years, so decided to change it awhile ago to Ukiah, OR. The following year was in LaPine and the last few years it was at a special spot in Eastern Oregon.

You don't stop riding because you grow old, you grow old because you stop riding.
