After so many days of potential torrentials, it was time to hit the trails! We had a new rider to the area from Eureka, CA named Rod Nordstrom (a 6'9" cloud sniffer), that we invited to go with Neal, Kai and I.
We rode the decomposed-granite side and, although there were puddles everywhere, the traction was actually quite good! We rode a few sections of ruts, uphills and downhills, and then poor Rod took a digger, but at least it was in a soft section (per video)!
Yes, it was Martin Luther Kind Day, but there wasn't too many other people with the same idea where we went. Though we didn't do too many miles, it was big fun!
