Ride Report: 2007-9-30 Million Dollar Dualsport

The weather guessers predicted a potential torrential. For once they were right. Fortunately I went riding on Saturday over in Hood River area to killer weather and awesome fall colors.

Upon getting home Saturday, I hit the weather channel and it predicted 100% chance of rain - all day Sunday! Argh, I didn't want to go, but I knew my bud, Danno, would pressure me into it, so I loaded up all my rain gear, snorkel and flippers and was set. I also wanted to support the Mt. Scotters in their event, since they've always supported mine too. So I got up bright and early, gassed up the truck and hit the road - in the rain.

Upon arriving at the Spirit Mountain Casino (staging area), this was the spectacle presented to me:

Yup, everyone was just standing around, out of the rain, and drinking coffee. The Scotters wisely decided to bag the ride and just do the games in the staging area, so everyone gathered around, putted some golf, threw some darts, ride a slow test and played Crap Or Fact. After that it was benchracing and the buffet breakfast in the Casino. High light of the day was that Jimmy Loveall threw two cents into a slot machine and won $450 - yes! Hey, I even overalled the event! There were a few brave souls who went out and pulled the course markers. Better luck next year guys! Below you can see once again where Danno had his eyes closed, plus the highly detailed GPS tracklog - of the Casino. :D
