The 2016 Dog Face Dualsport-Adventure Ride, September 17 at Diamond Lake!

We've kicked it around and we've decided to host an event in Southern Oregon to see how it goes. The date we're shooting for is now September 17, so mark your calendars! We are trying to find a place near Diamond Lake to stage from so stay tuned. And of course, here's the main webpage, so stay tuned there for more info:

FYI opening weekend for deer hunting is Oct 3rd. If this was the last weekend in Sep there would be no people with guns in the woods. I'll be there if in September. If not I will be in the woods with a gun.

sorry I was looking at 2015. Deer generally opens the first weekend in Oct, sometimes the last weekend in Sep. I will double check and get back to you.

http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/rogue-sis ... PRD3856687If you're worried about people not showing up due to deer season (because they are hunting), yes that is Oct 1. If you're worried about roads being closed, that's approximately Oct 15.

I would be worried about all the extra traffic in the area due to hunting season. Plus we as riders don't need to piss off the hunters by having hundreds of us riding thru. We need them to like us. I would try and do this before not during hunting season.

Okay, due to so many concerned with hunting season, plus a conflict with another dualsport event, the Dog Face Dualsport is now officially September 17, 2016 - please make note of it! Sorry for any hassles, but this will put the event before hunting season and hopefully not still in fire danger concerns!
