Breakin' the Ice

Postby YamaHead » Thu May 10, 2007 9:27 am

Just signed up & thought I'd introduce myself......
I'm an almost 45y/o PDX Native...(Endangered species these days  )
Been riding everyday, year-round for the past 20 years....it's the only way for me to keep my sanity. :D
How I found this place is interesting.......came outta the 7-11 that I frequent everyday on my way to work, & this friendly guy told me he left a sticky note on my XT's tach face with BlackDog's addy on it......COOL! I thought.....a local website with my interest @ heart. 8)

I spent 5 months last year in Bend due to a job I took as a CAD Drafter for a Structural Engineering firm....was hoping to sell my house & move there, but the then the housing market fell on it's face & I had to move back as it was just getting too spendy to keep 2 households running.

Here's a pic of my trusty steed that I took last month on a Central Oregon RideOut to the Tumalo Reservoir area....

So, looking forward to conversing & riding with other members here.

Welcome Scott, and you need to make those rims and swingarm black too!

Thanx Tom

In the process of looking for a back-up bike so I can take the XT's rims, swingarm & frame to a friend to get 'em powdercoated.
'Cause I start to go into convulsions if I can't ride for more than 2 days in a row. :D

Here's another 1 of my favorite destinations 8) ....

Well, offhand that's either Detroit Lake or up past Estacada?

Good eye Tom...
Too narrow to be Detroit lake.......but in fact it is the North fork reservoir, 6 miles the other side of Estacada.

A convienent location for my other toy  ......
